A Marine's Eyes

The eyes of a Marine are unlike others
They have seen things others would shrink from
Yet they did not flinch
The steady, determined gaze
Cutting through the superficialities
Going straight to the core
The steely glare
That commands respect
Taking no crap from anyone
The intesity of a look
One brief glance saying so much
Filled with emotions left unsaid
The eyes of a Marine
The window to a warrior's soul
