When ready: General Barry and Mr. Lach proceed to the Luke Auditorium
GOOD AFTERNOON, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, AND DISTINGUISHED GUESTS WELCOME TO THE 56th FIGHTER WING AND THE RETIREMENT CEREMONY FOR MR. ROBERT A. LACH. OFFICIATING TODAYS CEREMONY IS GENERAL JOHN L. BARRY, COMMANDER, AIR FORCE MATERIEL COMMAND. BEFORE WE BEGIN, PLEASE JOIN ME IN EXTENDING A WARM WELCOME TO MR. LACHS SISTER, SANDY ROSE, FROM SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA.
TODAY, THE AIR FORCE HONORS MR. LACH ON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT FROM THE SENIOR EXECUTIVE SERVICE AFTER MORE THAN 36 YEARS OF DISTINGUISHED FEDERAL SERVICE.
When General Barry and Mr. Lach are ready...
" LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, PLEASE STAND FOR THE ENTRANCE OF THE OFFICIAL PARTY AND REMAIN STANDING FOR THE PLAYING OF RUFFLES AND FLOURISHES, THE PRESENTATION OF THE COLORS, THE NATIONAL ANTHEM, AND THE POSTING OF THE COLORS."

General Barry and Mr. Lach enter the Luke Auditorium from the rear
Honor Guard proceeds down center aisle. As they reach the stage, they will stop, centered in front of General Barry and Mr. Lach for the national anthem.
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, OUR NATIONAL ANTHEM.
National anthem is played.
Honor guard members separate to the left and right, proceed behind the official party, place the flags in holders, and exit from both sides of stage area. Honor guard members reform and exit the Luke Auditorium down the center aisle.
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, PLEASE BE SEATED FOR REMARKS BY GENERAL BARRY."
General Barry makes his comments, then indicates for the narrator to read the decoration citation.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, please stand."
General Barry and Mr. Lach face the audience during the reading of the citation.
"ATTENTION TO ORDERS. THE DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE PRESENTS THE OUTSTANDING CIVILIAN CAREER SERVICE AWARD TO MR. ROBERT A. LACH IN RECOGNITION OF HIS SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENTS AND OUTSTANDING FEDERAL CAREER SERVICE WITH THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT. MR. LACHS EXCEPTIONAL LEADERSHIP AND INNOVATIVE MANAGEMENT ABILITIES HAVE CONTRIBUTED IMMEASURABLY TO THE SUCCESSFUL ACCOMPLISHMENT OF THE AIR FORCE MISSION. HIS EXEMPLARY PERFORMANCE AS the DIRECTOR OF THE centralized request for proposal SUPPORT TEAM CULMINATES A LONG AND DISTINGUISHED CAREER AND REFLECTS GREAT CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND THE UNITED STATES AIR FORCE.
