| | In this traditional layout, of an Air FOrce Commander's conference table the commander is seated at the head of the table. The Vice Commander is seated to the Commander's right and remaining staff members are seated according to rank (in descending order) alternately down the table. If a high ranking guest is attending the staff meeting, the Commander may elect to give up his seat at the head of the table or have the guest sit in the Vice Commander's place. In either case, the Vice Commander and staff members simply shift positions down the table. |
